Joe Biden rallies crowd at Montclair University

Previous Vice President Joe Biden visited Montclair State University Wednesday, Sept. 5, campaigning for Congressional candidate Mikie Sherrill.
The former Navy pilot and northern public prosecutor is running against Republican Jay Webber in New Jersey's 11th Legislative assembly Territory, which includes parts of Montclair. The behind has been held by retiring Republican Rodney Frelinghuysen since 1995, and has been held by Republicans for decades.
Democratic state chairman John Currie and Spic-and-span Jersey Gov. Phil Spud besides attended Sherrill's bang-off event.
"We have a duty as citizens of a democracy to contend for what we know this res publica stands for," Sherrill aforementioned. She aforesaid the U.S. was not built past heroes, merely instead by "ordinary people."
Biden told the crowd that "we are in a battle for the somebody of America" and called on the crowd to revert to American values. He also told the students to do their disunite by voting in the Nov. 6 elections.
Sherrill took 78 percent of the vote in the June Democratic primary. Webber South Korean won the Republican important with 40 percent.
